An easy to understand ‘Horse Handling Blueprint’ for all horse/human communication?
In recent years quite some research has been done concerning behaviour and intelligence of ponies and horses. Not only the way to keep horses in physical health was researched. Also the way they behave when living in groups, was thoroughly observed. Both in various domesticated stable systems and in ‘the wild’. Do horses communicate…? If so, what do they tell each other and how exactly do they do that? Does a horse make use of his brain in a logical, predictable way, can he draw conclusions? Is he able to learn to draw more and more conclusions while working with us? In other words: ‘in which way is a horse intelligent‘? Can he become even smarter? And how can we use this information about the horse’s brain and capacity to process information, to the benefit and wellbeing of both horse and rider. How does the horses brain function, like ours? Or just in some way similarly like ours?
